20 Weeks

Today the baby is 20 weeks. If you haven't heard already when we went in for our ultrasound the specialist didn't give Morley and I very good news. The baby has some problems with it enough to where they don't think it will make it much longer. He said that if we can make it to week 24 it might stand a chance of survival. So instead of counting down the weeks we are going to count up. Here is a picture of the baby's face.

When it rains it poors!

So I keep hearing that I need to do a blog update so you get to hear me complain. I don't think I can take much more first our fridge went out on Thursday so we had to magically come up with the money to get a new fridge. Then today the blower motor on our furnace went out which just so you all know also blows the cool air through out the house in the summer time and how we are going to afford to pay for that is beyond me. Luckily Cheryl is kind enough to let us stay at her house for the weekend because we couldn't get some to our house to fix it until sometime on Monday. All the while I am trying not to get too stressed because last time that happened I started bleeding and we thought I was going to loose the baby. So keep us in your prayers and feel free to let me know of ways to all the sudden earn lots of money so I can pay for these "fun" curve balls we keep getting thrown. I promise next post I will put some updated ultrasound pictures up for all to see.

Baby Time!

So if you read this blog and you haven't heard already Morley and I are expecting our long awaited addition to our family Feb 17th. We are so excited and can't wait! Morley has been such a sweet heart taking care of me while I have been sick, and I can't wait tell the sick part of the pregnancy is over. Keep your fingers crossed for us :)

It's Getting There (Slowly but Surely)

So as many of you may know, I love getting out in the yard and doing some work. After two years of being in our house, I can FINALLY say that the yard is getting there. It's not perfect yet, but to say so myself, I'm pretty pleased with what we've been able to do.

Here is our front yard, with the weeds finally going away!

We were pretty excited to see that these plants were doing so well this year. The one on the left is a bleeding heart, the center I don't remember, but we planted it last year and the one on the right was here when we bought the house. I don't know what it is, but it is doing much better this year than the last couple.

In this picture, you can kind of see our new garden sprinkling system that I installed. It is a micro sprinkler system and it works great!

This is our back yard that was about 65% weeds when we moved in. The yard as a whole, I would say, is down to only 5% - 10% weeds now (Yay!)

Here is our garden. We have 7 types of tomatoes planted, 4 types of peppers (JalapeƱos, Anaheim's, Bell, and Habenero's), zucchini, yellow zucchini, yellow crookneck, banana squash, and brussel sprouts. On our side garden, we have peas, carrots, onions, chives, green onions, radishes, and lettuce. Hopefully we will be able to feast on our garden this year! We even have some tomatoes already ripening up. Virginia is very excited to be able to have fresh garden tomatoes again!

So there you have it, our yard. Two years and counting. Hopefully in another two, it will be just how I want it! Nice and green with no weeds.

My Buba

Disclaimer: This can be a depressing post. It was very therapeutic though so read it if you want to but I won't be offended if you don't.

I know you guys will probably get sick of hearing about Bentley but here is some more. Heavenly Father sure knew the right time for us to have him come into our lives. He is my comforting angel. I know that is weird to hear about a dog. Especially one that loves to get into things as much as Bentley but it is the truth.

I have never had to go through anything as hard as a miscarriage. At least not yet. When we found out we were pregnant I can't say it enough my heart was so full of joy and excitement that I couldn't stop smiling. I walked around for about a week and a half just beaming. Like so much so that people on the train would look at me wondering what kind of drugs I was on :) and then to have that taken away... I was crushed. I felt like such a failer for some reason. Even though all the doctors are telling you that it happens 1 out of every 4 pregnancies. Even though you know that it is in Gods hands. It made me feel like I failed, that I was empty. Yet here was this little puppy that just kept cuddling with me, and kissing me, and looking at me in such a way that I knew everything was going to be alright and that he would be there for me.

Now don't get me wrong Morley was there also. He was awesome with the whole thing! Bentley would just lay next to me and comfort me when Morley was busy and I really needed that, and he continues to do it. When Morley isn't home Bentley is so patient with me and love me no matter what. He looks at me with the same dark brown eyes and says everything is going to be alright. I love you Buba, and thanks for loving me back!

OMG A NEW POST!

I am saying oh my gosh by the way :) ok so I know that it has been a long time since we posted anything. So here is one for all you guys that never look at my blog anymore because you have given up on us. So I don't have any cute kids to blog about which means this post is of coarse be about Bentley and Morley. Here is how they spend quality time lately. It makes me laugh everytime I see it and this time I actually caught it on camera.

The funniest part about it is that Bentley likes to lay were he is like pinned between the coach and Morley and if you look at this next picture you will see his feet aren't even touching the coach they are just kind of hanging there.
Another thing that makes me laugh about Bentley is that he will sit and watch TV with us as we are winding down at night. Not like what you are thinking dogs watch TV like but he sits back on his butt and looks like he is totally following the story line of "The Big Bang Theory" (that's the funniest show ever, I think I like it even more then Friends. Thanks Charity) He will also sit in that same possition in the mornings and watch me do my hair or makeup. Like he would like to give his opinion on how I look. (hopefully I look good :) )
